HCRU Member Training

Regular Training

Training is held on the second and fourth Tuesday evening of each month at 6:00 PM. These trainings usually involve SRT, but also cover a variety of other topics.  Location varies and can be found here (also, emails are sent out to members with date, time, and location).  All participants are welcome!   Business meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month.

Half-Day Trainings

Half-day trainings are held once every 2-3 months on a Saturday in order to accommodate a more in depth exercise than what can be covered on a Tuesday night training. 

AARS Classes

Members are regularly notified of trainings held by the Alabama Association of Rescue Squads (AARS) of which HCRU is a member. These trainings are generally held on the weekends and are free to AARS members.

Free Online FEMA Courses

All HCRU members are required to complete these courses. Please send copies of all current certificates to treasurer@hcru.org. These are also prerequisites for an Alabama Fire College Course.
